MAGNIFICATION:

The Tvi Zoom is a closed circuit television magnifier for the partially sighted. It uses s small TV camera in an ergonomic, hand held “mouse” and incorporates a zoom lens that allows the level of magnification to be altered. The magnified image is displayed on a standard TV in black and white. The mouse has rollers that facilitate easy scanning of text, and its mobility allows difficult to read items such as medicine, bottles, etc., to be magnified easily.
This device has all the above features but in addition one cannot adjust but has a fixed magnification from X16 on a 14” screen and X24 on a 21” screen.

Prisma is a full
color reading magnification CC TV Reading device that offers the user a flexible
way to read books, write and look at photographs and other things that need to
be magnified. It is displayed on a standard television. After use the Prisma can
easily be collapsed and stored in the supplied case. Its features include

Can the Prisma be used with a computer monitor?
Yes! The Prisma VGA converter is now available as an optional attachment. It is designed to allow the image from your Prisma to be displayed on a computer monitor. The converter operates both with and without a computer. If a computer is attached, you can alternate between the computer's image and the Prisma image by the press of a button.

Who can use the Prisma ?
Prisma is useful to persons suffering from low vision due to retinitis pigmentosa, macula degeneration or other eye problems causing the vision to be substantially lowered needing high magnification at close distances to read, write or view objects/pictures.
